La joven latina Jackie Rugel despunta como cantante por la puerta ancha en Guatemala y Miami

La joven cantante latina Jacqueline Rugel nació el 1 de noviembre de 1992, en Queens, New York. Desde los 3 años canta; y comenzó a tocar piano, en su noveno cumpleaños. Como su crianza es totalmente cristiana, apenas muy niña, interpreta motivos sacros y canciones, en las iglesias, destacando su voz, por encima de los rezos y padrenuestros cotidianos. Según sus propias palabras, “muchos de su familia piensan, que canta mejor de lo que habla”; mientras que Jackie eleva sus “Gracias a Dios, por este regalo maravilloso que me ha dado”.
A los 8 años, sus padres se mudan a Hialeah, en La Florida, buscando prosperar y alcanzar mejores condiciones de vida. Seguida muy de cerca, por su progenitor y manager (José Rugel), en estos primeros tiempos de despegue, Jackie empieza a actuar, ante el público hispano, a los quince años, y varios meses más tarde, ya arranca en la composición y grabación de su propia música, demostrando, en realidad, que lo hace muy bien, dentro del género pop-rock latino. Prueba de ello puede hallarse, cuando escuchamos los cinco temas iniciales de su álbum promocional, sobre todo, “Is it Love” y “Aquí Estoy”, respectivamente, en donde se manifiesta la frescura y calidad vocal de una Selena, cuando despierta alternas sonoridades, que la pudieran colocar muy pronto, cual ícono hispano juvenil, tal y como sucedió, hace unas décadas, con la bella y precoz cantante tejana.
Desde muy jovencita, Jackie se ha presentado, en actos locales y eventos, tales como el Festival Hispano de California, conocido como Feria Chapina, en Los Ángeles, durante tres días, en el 2008, para obras de caridad, a favor de los niños impedidos de Guatemala, algo que la conmovió sobremanera, pues asistieron miles de personas, una cifra que no había visto junta jamás. De ahí fueron invitados enseguida al Teletón de Guatemala, por una semana entera, vinculado con el evento de California, por lo que, impresionados por su magnífica voz, le solicitaron que aprendiese e interpretase el Himno Nacional de ese país, ante lo cual Jackie accedió gustosa. En el lapso de dos semanas consecutivas, la joven cantautora concedió más de quince entrevistas, y mostró su arte, por todo ese territorio de América Central. Se recaudaron 3 millones de dólares, durante el breve tiempo que estuvo en dicha nación, y aunque este evento se realiza anualmente, en Guatemala, nunca se había recaudado tanto dinero, de ahí que muchos agradecieran esta ganancia a la labor incansable, junto a la cálida acogida, que recibiera Jackie en tierras tapatías.
Hace unas semanas, Jackie se presentó, en el Primer Festival Vocacional de Artistas y Comunicadores Hispanos 2011, celebrado por la Comunidad de Comunicadores de Iberoamérica (COMUNICASIBER), como parte de la Peña Creactiva “La Babel de los Sueños”, que tuvo lugar en la Galería Art Estudio de Iván Galindo y Mario Chuy, al igual que en el Brindis de Premiados, efectuado en el Restaurant Rancho Luna, de Miami, junto a la destacada banda Living Flowers, y en las tres oportunidades, en que la escuchamos, pudimos disfrutar de un torrente de voz, musicalidad y dulzura, salpicado de picardía y cálidos tintes de ingenuidad, que denotan a una joven creativa y prometedora, capaz de iluminar y enaltecer el sendero promisorio, por donde transita, con tan sólo dieciocho años de edad.
De ahí que los directivos de COMUNICASIBER no vacilaron en entregarle el Premio Mándala de la Comunicacción 2011, por su calidad artística y apoyo a la causa de los hispanos, ahora que se prepara el Himno Salvemos al Koubek Center, con letra de José Antonio Gutiérrez Caballero, y música de Gian Pietro Cazzago.
Una voz y una composición pueden colmar un escenario de luz, pero si a ello se une la temprana maestría de una joven cantante, tan seria y plena, como el adulto más profesional, la juventud se transforma en un juego de la creatividad infantil, permitiéndonos ver, en ciernes, el nacimiento de una gran estrella. Eso significa Jackie para nosotros: la incitación de una voz hispana, que atraviesa la luz de su futuro, como si el arte en ella amaneciera.
